男性とは違う女性の薄毛の特徴について

一昔前までは、薄毛というと男性特有の症状であり、育毛剤なども男性専用のものばかりでしたが、ここ数年で女性でも薄毛に悩む人がぐんと増えました。

薄毛の原因はいろいろですが、基本的に年齢を重ねると毛根組織の働きが衰えるため、男性であれ女性であれ若い頃より髪が薄くなるのは当然のことです。

それなのに、女性の薄毛がクローズアップされるようになったのは、単なる加齢だけではなく生活習慣などに起因する原因が増えたということがあるでしょう。

 

最近の傾向

昔は食事でも睡眠でもある程度は規則正しかったですし、公共交通機関や車などの利用も限られていましたが、今は食事も睡眠も不規則になることが多く体を動かす機会も少なくなっています。

他にも、女性の社会進出や人間関係の複雑さなど生活環境が大きく変わっていることも、女性の薄毛が増えた原因となっています。

つまり男性と女性は薄毛になる原因が異なるので、症状にも違いがあります。

男性の場合は、男性ホルモンの影響によって、生え際から薄くなるM字型ハゲや頭頂部だけ薄くなるO字型ハゲなどが多いですが、女性の薄毛は男性ホルモンの関与はほとんどありません。

 

女性の薄毛の原因

多くの場合、生活習慣やストレス、ホルモンバランスの崩れが原因となっているので、薄毛の症状も髪の毛全体が薄くなるという特徴があります。

女性の薄毛は一部分だけではなく、全体が均等に薄くなっていくため気がつきづらく、そのせいで気づいたら髪の量が全体的に少なくなっていたということになるのですね。

もちろんこれは女性に限った症状ではありませんが、それでも確実に男性よりも女性の方が全体的に薄くなる症状が多いです。

 

対策は

この薄毛はびまん性脱毛症というもので、基本的には一度なってしまったら根本から治すことは難しいと言われています。

ですが、原因によってはそれを改善したり、栄養成分を摂ることによって症状を緩和したりすることもできるので、薄毛になったからといって諦める必要はありません。

逆にそのまま何もしないと、さらに薄毛が進行してしまうことになりますから、薄毛に気がついたらすぐに対策を行って改善していきましょう。
